New Media Tuesday

Tuesday, November 29

Some very uninteresting picks for this week in movies. Only one do I even mildly care to see. This week we have Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo, which I felt they should have just left the first one alone. Everything I've seen from this sequel seems like rehashed material and forced.

March of the Penguins was popular for a short while. Mainly because I think it was cute. I'll pass. Mr. and Mrs. Smith I've been told wasn't a bad movie. However I'm not a big fan of either Jolie or Pitt. Something that heavily weighs on me ever seeing this movie.

Sky High would be the renter of the bunch. I'm interested in seeing this mostly due to the actors in it (not the kids) and of course the superhero theme. I dread the happy go lucky kiddie Disney feel to it, but I could be wrong.

Speaking of Disney, they who now own the Muppets, released a few of their movies on DVD. Titles including the Muppet Movie, Great Muppet Caper, Muppet Christmas Carol, and Muppet Treasure Island. What? No Muppets Take Manhattan? That was the best one. Grrrrr.... to hell with that.

Family Guy vol 3 was released. If anything were to get purchased it would be that. I wasn't a fan when the show was originally on, but thanks in part to it's DVD sales, and it's syndication on Cartoon Network, it was revied. And thankfully it found a new fan: Me.

Briefly in music, Shakira released Oral Fixation vol. 2, The Darkness returns with a new album, and yes, even Yanni is still making music.

That's all I got for this week. I really need to start these posts earlier.

I Survived Another Thanksgiving

Sunday, November 27

So I guess I'm thankful for that. Actually I'm thankful for a great deal of many things.

On Thanksgiving I woke up at 9:00, got ready and headed out to my Dad and Stepmom's house along with my girlfriend. Got there at 10:00 and just kind of hung out. It was my fathers' 50th birthday that day too, so I gave him a nice gift and a touching card. Awe.

After there we packed up and drove out to my Grandparents house in the country to meet up with my Mom. At noon we ate, and hung out there for a few hours.

Two hours later, we packed it up and went out to Rachael's family's Thanksgiving. I like her family, good people, fun to kid around with. We ate again, this time finding my limit. Unfortunately, come around five I had to call it a Thanksgiving Day and go into work. I was originally scheduled to work until 9:00, most of us ended up staying until 10:15 setting up ad and merchandise for "Black Friday".

And yes, I was part of the frenzy that was "Black Friday". At 6:00 in the morning I was present at K-mart for great deal shopping. Found a few. Take for instance, Star Wars Battlefront II for PS2... $12.99. Yeah... Yeah. That was probably the best deal. After that I went home for a nap cause I had to go back to work later that day until 11:00. I pretty much worked for most of the weekend, everyday for the holiday at least.

That's how Thanksgiving Day 2005 went down. Peace yo.

"Goblet of Fire" Breaks Spider-Man Record

Thursday, November 24

Source: ComingSoon.net

ComingSoon.net reports that Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire earned a massive $102.3 million over the weekend and in the process broke the Friday record previously held by Spider-Man:

For its single day performances, the film's $39.767 million Friday box office is the highest ever, passing up Spider-Man ($39.406 million) and "Prisoner of Azkaban" ($38.3 million). The Friday total is also the third best opening day in history. The Saturday total of $36.7 million is the fourth biggest for that day.

Spider-Man still holds the biggest opening weekend ever with $114.8 million. For more on how "Goblet of Fire" did, hit the link above.

Sounds Like a Video Game Villian

I know that the concept of a villian winning and ruling all isn't original. Hardly anything is anymore, but I ran across this and thought it interesting.

3rd Rock of Fun

Over the past few days I've been enjoying a marathon of sorts of a television personal favorite of mine: 3rd Rock from the Sun.

Who would have thought a show like this, being a mid season replacement no less, could have survived as long as it did, and still be good thoroughout.

Watching episodes from season two (recently on DVD), has been wonderful... I haven't laughed so much for quite some time.

Good writers... great cast. Good fun.

X-Box 360 Craziness

Tuesday, November 22

Today the X-Box 360 was released. All today people were asking if I got one. Like they saw something on MSN.com this morning, or on the morning news, and thought I got one, then decided to come into work too. Right.

In-fact, I did not get one. Four hundred dollars is a bit much for me to dish out on a system at this moment, if I was even into the X-Box to begin with.

A friend of mine however (big X-Box fan) camped out infront of the Nebraska Furniture Mart to get himself a system. He was even on television because of it. The local Fox and NBC news affiliates were there and talked to him. Kinda cool. Reminds me of my PS2 experience several years ago. For over eight hours I stood outside of our local Wal-Mart to get a PS2 at launch, only to not get one. Thankfully through connections I managed to get one two weeks later, but the experience was quite the memory.

Guess this is this years "hot" item.

New Media Tuesday

You like Seinfeld? The highly rated show about nothing? Here's your double dose of Kramer up your ass then. Presenting seasons five and six of Seinfeld on DVD. I liked this show, not when it originally aired, but when it started reruns on TBS, and where it still airs... for free.

Polar Express is out. It was out last year around this time in theatres. I guess this movie is labeled as a "holiday film". So I guess that makes it appropriate to be held for a holiday release. It's about some kind of train, that makes some trip to the north pole or something... go read the book.

Yeah, the movie I actually care about; War of the Worlds. True it could have been better, and you knew how it was going to end (please tell me you've heard it by now). This retelling of WotW follows a father (Tom Cruise) and his two children trying to escape the destruction of Earth from an alien race. The effects are great, and I didn't really care for how the characters were handled in the telling of a story, but it was entertaining enough for me to at least see it again, outside of the theater.

Music time. Among the CD releases this week include a new System of a Down album, part two of a planned release of this year. Scott Stapp, formerly of Creed, has gone solo... but most people think he's a dick, and most likely won't buy his album. Sorry Scott.

Fort Minor (Band name or Artist?) featuring Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park is released. It is unknown by me what their sound is like, however the album cover screams something LP would do. I'm going to have to do some searching on the internet to hear a song, cause I've yet to hear anything played on the radio. Also, Britney Spears is remixed today on an album called Britney Spears: Remix. Brilliant.

Video games... well Smack Down vs Raw 2006 came out over the past week, so did Need For Speed: Most Wanted. New this week is Peter Jackson's King Kong. Not just King Kong, Peter Jackson's King Kong. I've had a demo for this game for about a week now, I should probably play it someday soon.

What's Up Chuck?

Saturday, November 19

Hey dude,

Got your letter yesterday. Looks like you had a great party. Wish I could have been there. Oh well, if you're having a New Year's party I'll be in town around that time. From Dec 24 to Jan 7. So we have to party.

It sounds like Battlefront 2 is just average. I really liked the first one though, so I'll still check it out. I also can't wait till Kingdom Hearts 2. When is the realase date? That game is going to kick ass.

I really appreciate all the pictures you sent. I didn't expect so many. It made a little commotion here in the barracks, so that was fun.

I guess that's about it for now. I graduate in about a week, so I might be giving you a call when I get my cell phone back. Well write ya later.

As always,

Comic Book Run

Went to Lawrence on Thursday to pick up my comic book stash. Ended up missing Smallville for that night, but that's why the internet is so great.

Not a bad stash. Picked up my weeks old Wizard magazine. I just love reading almost a month's old news.

Picked up not one but TWO Marvel titles. Yeah, go me! My first ever solid title I picked up from them was Sentinel, but then they cancelled it. It broke my heart. Now they're publishing it again, but as a mini-series. Crap to that. I'm still buying it, but they're just playing with me now. And as always, Avengers was a good read.

Out of the great handful of DC books I picked up, only three seem to stand out as good reads (though to fairness, as of writing this I haven't read them all yet). Those books would be Infinite Crisis #2, Supergirl #3, and Teen Titans #29.

I won't bore you with the happenings in IC or Supergirl, but the Teen Titans issue was a nice change of pace for that book. It was more of a Batman book, where in it, almost all the pages were dedicated to a fight between Robin and the Red Hood (Jason Todd, former Robin, formerly rotting corpse). It turns out that the Red Hood wanted to see what makes the current Robin so great, and kind of had this mad on about having BEEN in the Titans, but nobody really seemed to notice, or care even. A bit of a sore spot for Jason.

That's it for this installment.

Johnny Cash Mania

Not only was it a Harry Potter weekend, but it was also a Johnny Cash weekend too. Yes sir.

I was fortunate enough, thanks in part to the Dickinson management, to see Walk the Line staring Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon, the new biopic about Johnny Cash.

Now I really liked this movie a lot.

The performances were outstanding, and I just love movies that are about the music, and about certain time era's in american history. I love it when a movie can take you back a few decades (i.e. Almost Famous).

In other news, on Saturday I went with a group of friends to pick up a new figure to add to my collection. That would be the Johnny Cash figure pictured to the left. Yeah, it makes a nice addition.

I think I've found a new outlet for all my figure collecting needs. Thanks guys.

Harry Potter Friday

I took off of work (at least from my day job) to go see the new Harry Potter movie Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Accompanying me were two other 'pot heads'; Rachael my girlfriend and Brandon, a good friend of mine.

We drove to the Legends shopping center to test out the place. We ate at the new Dave & Busters, a nice dining establishment with an adult arcade, and by adult I DON'T mean XXX, I mean no one under 21 unless accompanied by adult guardian 30 years or older... yeah... it said 30 years old. Who came up with that rule?

The food was good, the booze were good, the place... eh, it was good. Looking forward to eating there again.

After eating we went to the Legends 14 Theatre. Found out how much it would cost for seats in the balcony. Beware, if you REALLY want to sit in those reclining plush seats and be waited on, depending on what day and time of day you're looking at $12 to $16 bucks. We passed.

It wasn't busy, which is good. The lobby, hallways, hell even the bathrooms were really nice, shiny and new. However I wasn't impressed with the theatre itself. Although I must mention that I think we were in one of the smaller theatres, but it just didn't set its self apart from say, an AMC theatre. The temperature was cold the whole time, our movie started late, and the sound cut out on three separate occasions. Overall, not a great first impression. Of course I'll go there again, I'll just chalk that up to strike one.

THE MOVIE? HOW WAS IT? I'm glad you asked. I started ranting up there, anywho... for those of you keeping track, Goblet of Fire is the fourth film, and in ranking terms I'd put this one as my second favorite of them. The movie was 2 1/2 hours long and boasted a PG-13 rating, for violence, violence, and violence!!!! And one bit of language which I was kind of thrown back for having heard in this type of film. For anybody who cares about the movies, this one is for you. I mean you really have to have watched the past films to really appreciate this film, and if you have it's all the more sweeter.

The story was good. Special effects were good. Towards the end of the film there's an emotional moment that almost made me tear up (I said almost). The kids are doing a great job and I look forward to the next installment.

Day of the Dead Pages

Tuesday, November 15

Here's something I've been sitting on for a while.

These were are the first two pages of Dead Dog Comic's Day of the Dead #1. They're the pencils and inks done by Greg Smallwood without such bothersome things like color or text.

Wait, did I say were? As in past tense? Yeah, I kinda did. That's the other thing I forgot to mention.

I will admit, I'm one of Smallwood's biggest fans. So whatever he does, I'm gonna cheer him on. However, I was sad when this fell through, only for the fact it would have been great to hold a copy in my hands. As with life, shit happens.

I was going to do a little Q & A with him, but just never got around to it. However I discovered he's recently started a blog himself, and pretty much discribed the whole mess himself. So I'll let him.

New Media Tuesday

I seriously need to start these a day ahead of time. Anyway, nothing much DVD came out this week that warrants any real attention. Madagascar would be the bread winner this week. I didn't find any aspect of it interesting, so I'm leaving it alone. I could be terribly wrong too. I thought the same about Ice Age before seeing it, and yes I laughed hard quite a bit, most was due to that damned squirrel.

For us big kids, we can enjoy Skeleton Key and Stealth. Both with some eye candy, but otherwise just seems lacking in anything resembling a good film. At least anything I'm into.

Sound of Music released a new anniversary edition... again. This is becoming one of those films that keeps getting new editions of, just because (the Evil Dead series comes to mind). Oprah of all people decided she hasn't gotten enough attention lately, and released a multi-disc set of her show, I don't know if it's a best of or whatever, I just don't care. It's Oprah! Also it's the last season of Friends, season ten, new on DVD. Yeah! Now I won't hear about it again until they release a super boxed set of all ten seasons.

Ok, now music. Stuff I don't care about: Big & Rich and Ginuwine. Got it, good.

Stuff I kind of care about, but not enough to purchase: Green Day's first live album (with DVD). Yeah, ok... they've released a greatest hits album, but why only include a handful of a band's hit singles on a live album? That was the biggest turn off from getting this CD. Madonna let people know she's still around, writing children's books, and music too apparently. Brand new songs including her new single "Hung Up" which heavily samples the A-Teens "Gimmie A Man After Midnight" (originally an ABBA song). So the song is a sample of a song that is a remake of a song. Wow.

Lastly is Alanis Morissette who released her best of album. For the most part, I like her stuff. I actually thought about buying this gem, had I not have almost all of the songs on it that I liked. And I'm pleasantly surprised at some of the choices, mostly songs that were from soundtrack's including Dogma's "Still".

WWE Star Guerrero Found Dead In Hotel Room

Monday, November 14

I may not be the biggest wrestling fan in the world, but I did play many video games with this guy in them.

World Wrestling Entertainment wrestler Eddie Guerrero was found dead in his Minneapolis hotel room.

Police said 38-year-old Eduardo Gory Guerrero didn't respond to a wake-up call Sunday morning, so hotel security at the Marriott City Center and a relative of Guerrero forced entry into the room.

Attempts to revive Guerrero were not successful. Authorities said there's no apparent signs of foul play. Guerrero was scheduled to appear in the WWE Supershow on Sunday night.

What's Like Smallville, But Underwater?

The WB Makes Aquaman Spinoff Official

November 13, 2005 The Hollywood Reporter says Smallville executive producers Miles Millar and Alfred Gough are developing an Aquaman spinoff for The WB:

The new project is envisioned as a contemporary reinterpretation of the DC Comics character who lives in the deep sea and enlists sharks and other oceanic creatures to help him in his crime-fighting endeavors.

The new-model Aquaman will be a man in his early twenties. As is the case on "Smallville," which tells the story of Clark Kent's teenage years and his coming-of-age as Superman, there won't be any presto-chango into costumes or other superhero accessories when his superpowers are invoked, a WB Network spokesman said.

The October 20 episode of "Smallville," titled "Aqua," featured the Kent character encountering a mysterious young swimmer and do-gooder dubbed "A.C.," played by Alan Ritchson.

The WB spokesman said that episode, which ranked as "Smallville's" most-watched of the season with nearly 6.5 million viewers, was not meant to be a template for the "Aquaman" project and that "Smallville" executive producers Miles Millar and Alfred Gough would search for a new actor for the lead role.

The Aquaman pilot tentatively is set to shoot early next year in Florida.

Legends

Friday, November 11

The girlfriend and I was off from work (day job at least) on Friday (Veteran's Day), and decided to make a trip out to the new shopping center off of Parallel and I-435... Legends of the Village West.

Only a handfull of stores and restaurants are open, but besides the on-going construction, the place is very nice.

Went into the new Legends 14 Theater, and damn is it nice. I only went as far as the lobby, because I didn't buy a ticket (BTW: $6.50 matinee and $8.50 adult), but the inside was gorgeous. Simply beautiful, and I look forward to the day I do go past the usher taking tickets.

Further up the strip was Kansas City's own Dave & Busters. I had been to one in Colorado, and love the idea of this restaurant. Walking in, it looked just like that one, nice restaurant area, nice bar, much better than your typical restaurant. And behind it all, pool tables and arcade games. Although there are a lot, and the room is big, it lacks in selection. Mostly all are simulation games, games that require you to pick up something like a gun or boxing-gloves, that variety. They're also big on racing games, and if it's like the Colorado D&B, it isn't just because of the race track. I'm just disappointed in the lack of, well, games I like to play. But it's still a fun place to visit, but then I can go to the Great Wolf Lodge and play in their arcade.

Looking forward to that first film. Can't wait to see how the place unfolds as the construction continues.

Television Doesn't Rot Your Mind, Video Games Do!

Tuesday, November 8

Let's talk video games for a while shall we.

Over the weekend I had the opportunity to play Resident Evil 4, new for the PS2. It's true I've never really been a fan of the franchise, and interest really wavered when the second movie was released. Infact, this was the first time I've played a RE game on the Playstation. The only one before was Resident Evil 2 on my N64. I'm quite aware of the story from games before, and this one takes a bit of a leap, which is good. It's set in Europe, and it's like six years after the first game. And I like the game play better, it's more of a 3rd person shooter. In the old PS1 versions, every room you entered, the camera didn't really move at all, it was like you controlled your character from a video booth, camera stuck in the corner. Much more freedom. I liked it for what I played. It had been a while since I've cursed like I did, playing a game. Something about being hacked to death by a chainsaw yielding zombie and screaming "DAMN IT, FUCK!"

Star Wars Battlefront II is another game I've played recently. Space battles and playing as Jedi are newer features in the game. I haven't quite gotten used to either of them, but that just means I should play more then huh? I think it's just fun playing out the movies.

Out today is Enter the Matrix: The Path of Neo, where you get to play as "the one". Critics and reviews all seem set on the same idea, this is actually a good Matrix game. All the videos and pictures scream for me to play this game. You play Neo through all the movies, everything you can think of, and then.. a new ending! Hopefully better than what they came up with originally.

50-Cent Wants Your Money, And Then He's Going To Kill You

This week may very well be as VH1 will probably put it, 50-Cent's "Best Week Ever".

This rapper, now turned movie star/video game character, is working himself into a "cash cow" this week of November. Opening tomorrow, Fitty stars in his first (and hopefully last) movie. Apparently Paramount pictures is paying for off duty police officers to be security for this, the opening weekend. Why would they do that? Are they expecting trouble I wonder?

The multi-media king on Tuesday released a soundtrack album to this movie, and an unauthorized biography on DVD. Did I say someone ask for more? How would you like to play as your favorite rapper 50-Cent? Well you are in luck, cause he too is imortalized as a video game now, complete with a 50-Cent soundtrack, and bazooka too. Wait... they're giving him bazooka's now? Ah shit.

Congratulations 50-Cent. Enjoy your #1 at the box office. Harry Potter and Johnny Cash are hot on your ass next week.

New Media Tuesday

Out today on DVD, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Though it's tagged as a remake, Tim Burton returns to Roald Dahl's original novel (and Dahl's original title) for this second take on the offbeat fantasy. Burton favorite Johnny Depp is downright odd (even for Depp) as the eccentric and reclusive chocolate mogul Willy Wonka, who has built his own private candy wonderland and shares it for one day with lucky kids who have found the golden tickets hidden in his Wonka Bars. Although I enjoyed the Gene Wilder version better, this wasn't such a bad take. A little bit much with the special effects though.

Rob Zombie's sequel to House of 1000 Corpses, The Devil's Rejects, picks up where the last one left off, but it takes a detour into revenge thriller and a rebels on the run road movie. This movie has a killer soundtrack of classic rock tracks, and was quite enjoyable in the theatre.

Other releases include Christmas With the Kranks. Just in time for the film Zathura, the sequel to Jumanji, comes a new special edition of the original film. Edward Scissorhands has an anniversary edition out. Yeah! More Burton and Depp!

Cartoons are invading DVD, enter boxed editions of Ducktales, Chip n' Dales Rescue Rangers (yes, I know), and Beavis & Butthead. Rounding out the rest of the boxed sets include Remington Steele (blah) and Blue Collar TV (double blah). That's all for movies, and that's all for new media that I care about. Ta ta.

Spider-man Hits the Beaches

Sunday, November 6

Sony Pictures ended months of speculation -- apparently -- by posting a photograph of Thomas Haden Church on the official Spider-Man movie site.

Under the Daily Bugle headline, "Guess who?," the picture is captioned with the phrase "Thomas Haden Church as Flint Marko." That, and the distinctive clothing all indicate Church will be playing the Sandman.

There's no word yet on who Topher Grace is playing in the film, although most speculation centers around Venom or Electro. (What, no the Shocker?)

Church, 44, is coming off an Oscar-nominated role in Sideways. He has been working out extensively for his Spider-Man 3 role.

Production is expected to begin early next year.

Tekken 5 Figures

Saturday, November 5

While looking around the internet I found this coming out from X-Plus USA.

Having now been pushed back for it's fourth time now, comes a series 1 (of many I understand) of Tekken 5 figures planned for July 2006. Series one consists of Devil Jin, Paul Phoenix, Nina Williams, and Jinpachi (Tekken 5's new villian).

Each figure is 6" and has a SRP of $14.99. I think I'm in trouble here.

Hope your party went great. It's wierd, I had a dream about your party, the night of your party. It was a vague dream, but it was your house with people in costumes. That's about all I remember.

I really can't wait until I get back. I've only got about 3 1/2 more weeks, and I hope they go by fast.

Well this is really just a letter saying hey. Letting everyone know that I'm alive and well. Please send some Halloween pics Jeff. You're the only one from our little group to write me so far, and I really appreciate it bro. Well I guess that's it, I'll write again this Sunday probably if I have more time.

As always,

Jeff & Rachael: Year One

My girlfriend and I celebrated our first year together as a couple yesterday (Saturday). We made a to trip to Kansas City to Union Station, somewhere she had yet to visit and I had thought to take her.

After dinning and soaking up what Union Station had to offer, we then walked to the nearby Crown Center to look around. It was nice to hang in KC for the evening with my woman, I had a good time just walking around with her.

One year down, here's to the future.

Last Week: Thoughts at Random

Well crap. All last week I wanted to update with a new post and just couldn't find the time. So here are random thoughts I had last week, best that I can remember them.

Let's start with the party photos. I had difficulties putting those up. I use a service called WebShots, which when I first got it, seemed like a user friendly way of posting future pictures. Well, using it for free, there is a limit to how many pictures I can have, and everytime I tried to put the Halloween pics up, I'd stop at the same point. Turns out I didn't realize I had over a hundred Halloween pictures I was putting up. Well past the limit I had left. I temporarily posted under a different account, but am now in the market for something different.

At work this week we had a bit of a meeting concerning a few people. Everybody was addressed in general, but it was singled out to the few. This meeting, although amusing, turned everybody against each other, more or less, and made for a tense day at work. The rest of the week wasn't that great either.

The day after Halloween, a radio station I listen to seemingly changed formats. It went from a pop station to a Christmas station. It wasn't to last, thankfully it returned to it's old format on Friday. But it sure had me, and I'm sure others fooled. It even changed it's call name to Jingle 95.7. As a guilty pleasure, as I flipped through the radio dial, I would turn back to hear what x-mas song was playing. I'm ashamed. It's too early for Christmas if you ask me.

Also, I got bored and changed the look of my site again. I'll be adding to it hopefully shortly here. More as it develops.

You know, I guess that's all I got for now. I'm sure more went on in the week, but I just don't care to type anymore.

What's Up Chuck?

Wednesday, November 2

Got another letter from Charlie, I received it the Friday before the Halloween Party. It's dated the 20th, if that gives you an idea of how fast things send. In it he mentions he finally got the letter I sent him, and touches on it, incase you don't get a few references.

I'm planning on sending him another letter soon, complete with pictures. If anybody would like to add to it, I think tonight's Movie Night gathering would be a perfect forum for that. Bring a note, letter, etc... and I'll mail it off, possibly tomorrow.

Here's a link to all of Charlie's letters. The latest one is posted at Oct 20 2005. Laters.

New Media Tuesday

Tuesday, November 1

Alright. The only real important release here is Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith. The circle is complete, the saga is over, Darth Vader kills everybody then later has a change of heart. A love story with lazer swords.

I only got to see this once in the theatres, and really wanted to see it again. And tomorrow, I will. And what more, I'll get to check out all the deleted scenes that Lucas took out, most of which I've read are about the forming of the rebel alliance.

Also out is Star Wars: Battlefront II for PS2 and X-box. The first one kicked ass, this new one will probably kick it's ass. With a lazer sword. What the hell is it with Star Wars that makes me geek up inside? I love it.

Other crap that's out today: A Perfect Man with Hillary Duff. Yippie. Millions comes out, about a suitcase of money that falls from the sky and a kid spends it, but turns out that *gasp* the monies is stolen *gasp*. A new Special Edition of Office Space (complete with flair) comes out, make sure to buy that one if you don't already own this great movie.

Music that came out.... Ozzy released an album of cover songs. A few interesting choices, doesn't look bad. I think I'll look into it. Blink-182 put out a greatest hits album with three new songs. That seems the trend now-a-days to put new material on a greatest hits CD. Don't like it. The pop trend continues with NOW 20. A Nirvana album was released with demo versions of a lot of popular tracks. Santana teams up with about a quarter of the record industry to help record his latest album, everybody from Michelle Branch to Kirk Hammond join aboard.

That's it for this week. Bye.
