Legends

Friday, November 11

The girlfriend and I was off from work (day job at least) on Friday (Veteran's Day), and decided to make a trip out to the new shopping center off of Parallel and I-435... Legends of the Village West.

Only a handfull of stores and restaurants are open, but besides the on-going construction, the place is very nice.

Went into the new Legends 14 Theater, and damn is it nice. I only went as far as the lobby, because I didn't buy a ticket (BTW: $6.50 matinee and $8.50 adult), but the inside was gorgeous. Simply beautiful, and I look forward to the day I do go past the usher taking tickets.

Further up the strip was Kansas City's own Dave & Busters. I had been to one in Colorado, and love the idea of this restaurant. Walking in, it looked just like that one, nice restaurant area, nice bar, much better than your typical restaurant. And behind it all, pool tables and arcade games. Although there are a lot, and the room is big, it lacks in selection. Mostly all are simulation games, games that require you to pick up something like a gun or boxing-gloves, that variety. They're also big on racing games, and if it's like the Colorado D&B, it isn't just because of the race track. I'm just disappointed in the lack of, well, games I like to play. But it's still a fun place to visit, but then I can go to the Great Wolf Lodge and play in their arcade.

Looking forward to that first film. Can't wait to see how the place unfolds as the construction continues.
