Comic Book Run

Thursday, September 28

Well, I was spoiled this week. To get my comics, I didn't even have to leave the house. It was so great. Big shout out goes to my homeboy Greg for making the delivery.

Here's the good stuff:

52 # 21: For a weekly comic, it's almost like four monthly comics, stick with me here... there are four major story arcs and they seem to rotate every week which one to focus on. Oh well, I'm a DC Comic whore. This week we see the new Infinity, Inc., Lex Luthor's team of superheroes, and the Teen Titans show up, showing a bit of a change since "One Year Later".

Secret Six #4: This mini-series is dieing down.. here's the shocker moment though: Mad Hatter vs. the Doom Patrol.

Blue Beetle #7: This ish tells the tell of what happened during Infinite Crisis... this series is dieing down from what it was at #1, I think I'm going to drop it.

Teen Titans #39: Intro new Titans Zatara and Miss Martian. Um... interesting.

Justice League of America #2: No excitement. New Avengers... this ain't.

Batman #657: Batman's son vs. Robin. I'm glad they finally gave Batman a son... other than the ones he adopts and teaches to fight crime, if the DCU keeps turning more and more towards Kingdom Come... this is one added change I don't mind. I do however see them taking this back, where he's NOT Bruce Wayne's kid. I so see this happening.

Supergirl #10: In this issue, Kara adopts a secret identity, and decides to give it up. It's not like she needs one anyway. I like how this series turned it's self around rather quickly. It had it's troubles starting out with the whole issue delay/writer thing. And after a rather dull "OYL" story, it went right into focusing on making Supergirl an interesting fresh new character. And this series has really mixed her up in the DCU, which I really like since I collect a lot of DC.
