Heroes - Thoughts

Wednesday, September 27

Well, dispite the fact I was at work instead of at home... I made the time to watch (with only limited commercial interuption thanks to Nissan).. Heroes Monday on NBC.

There was much to do about this show while I was in San Diego. I've been told this is NBC's answer to ABC's Lost. A popular show that's grown a cult following. Lost hasn't really sold on me yet, but I figure one of these days I'll end up watching it thanks to DVD. But due to it's "super" nature, I decided to give it a shot.
From what I've picked up before watching, it's supposed to be something like a handful of people sorta just start discovering they have powers. It's supposed to be based in real life. But I don't know... the first show only showcased like five characters out of like... fourteen or so. Which is fine... but of those first four, most of their lives or personalites where kinda... f'd up.
And there's this mystery concerning "super evolution" or something, that I don't really care about, that I'm sure will run through most of the season.
The only highlights of the episode I suppose would be the almost too hot for TV moments provided by Ali Larter, and Masi Oka who plays Hiro, our teleporter guy from Japan. He was quite the entertaining character, the one who actually seemed delighted with his powers.
I plan to watch more. Although, it's style has yet to grasp at me yet.
