The Candy Man

Last night I was watching my local Fox News station and saw a report about the Dickinson Plaza 6 theatres, a former employre. The report was about a 27 year old Atchison man who was trying to steal candy from the Dickinson. Saturday night after a last round movie he told his wife he was going to the restroom while she went to the car. He went behind the concessions area and took “35 lbs” of candy. He was approached and ran. He was tackled by two civilians until apprehended by police. Then some jokes about candy were made by the anchors.After viewing this I called my friend who is a security guard there about it and here is what he had to report.
Apparently this guy dumped a 35lb of popcorn kernels into the sink to use as a bag. He filled it with candy and went into the box office. The man was printing “test” tickets… believing them to be real tickets I guess. He jumped up on the counter, hit his head on the low ceiling, impaled himself on the gate, and flipped over into the Plaza commons. He then ran outside to the just arriving police.
Ha. What an idiot.
To make matters worse he hit a female cop in the jaw. He also apparently was kicking at the windows inside the squad car he was taken away in.
That’s all I know. Make sure to give Ron a hard time about this in some fashion, he was working that night. Peace!
