Had the pleasure of seeing the new Dukes of Hazzard movie over the weekend.

Many critics have ripped this movie and called it crap. And they're kind of right, to a degree. It's not original. Of course not. It was a TV show first. And it's not like the show. Boo hoo. Doesn't bother me none cause guess what... I never watched it. It was mindless entertainment. Pure and simple. Infact, anything resembling a plot I think could have passed as a hour long episode of the show. Dukes was funny yes. And the car chases were over the top, but enjoyable. Jessica Simpson, yes she's hot but guess what, not in the film that much. There's plenty of other eye candy in the movie to fill space, so don't worry. But we'll see if this does anything for her "acting career".

Seann William Scott really steals this film. Johnny Knoxville really doesn't do too much for it. The sound track kicks ass, seriously rocks. Best of all... a few nice surprises by the Broken Lizard gang. In the theatre or wait for DVD. It's at least worth a viewing.
