An event years in the making....
Alright, so I've been a fan of Eve 6 since the late 90's. Guilty. So I was heartbroken about a year ago when Eve 6 was supposed to make a stop in KC, only to find out it was at a college only open to students. Fast forward, and here I finally got to see 'em
Before the show, Sheldon, Lewis, and I took a visit to Nick Albert's brother's place in the P&L District, Genghis Grill. Saw Mike O'Brien working the bar. Nice place, too bad I'm so damned picky about food. Oh well. On to Eve 6!
They played all their hits, a mid set medley featuring their version of Tom Petty's "Running Down a Dream", and a song I fell in love with when the band was temporarily broken up and two members were in a band called Sugi Tap "Pick Up The Pieces".
At the end of the show I was determined to get something I saw a roadie tape down on the stage... the set list. After a few "Hey! Hey man! Hey!" I managed to get a stagehands attention and snag the shows set list!
I loved it all. I got to hang out with a bunch of my friends, great music. And I even walked away with a souvenir!
