A Startling Revalation

I just got done watching a special feature on the recent DVD release Superman/Doomsday, which talks about how the Death of Superman came to be in comics. I found out an interesting bit of info. But let me break it down first:

Yeah. Who would have thought this show on ABC would have been responsible for me collecting comics.


Apparently both the show and the comics had Lois and Clark engaged. The show didn't want the comics to do a wedding first, and in the show, that was a few seasons still to go. So the comic writers had to come up with something else to fill in the gap, replacing their wedding plans.

Enter: The Death of Superman... The reason I even collect comics.
