Comic Book Issues...

Thursday, February 1

I've had a few issues lately with stuff happening to my comic book universe.

First off, one of my quickly growing favorite titles "The Boys" got the axe, rather quickly and unexpectedly too. It was cancelled at issue #6, which is already on stands. The Boys #7 was supposed to hit shelves next week. No official reason has been made about the series cancellation (most suspect content issues), however it was creator owned and it's been said already that the series is shopping around for another publisher. It's just going to be a long wait for it most likely.

In an unexpected move, I decided to drop a few titles that for the longest time have been good and/or favorites: Aquaman and Catwoman.
As of now they've only been dead weight and a waste of money. I'm a big self proclaimed Aquaman fan, but this ISN'T Aquaman. What the hell DC?

And lastly, news that broke yesterday, Geoff Johns is leaving Teen Titans to clear up his schedule. Series artist Tony Daniel is also leaving when Johns exits. I've enjoyed his run on the book and will be sad when he leaves. Coming into the book will be Adam Beechen, writer on Robin. I picked up Robin on the start of Adam's run and it's been hit and miss. Of course I'll give it a shot. I just have this thing about change and "if it ain't broke... yadda yadda".
