I So Called It. So Um... Yes For Me!

Sunday, July 27

Some news from San Diego this weekend... something I had hoped for a while back when they renewed Smallville for an 8th season:

Geoff Johns Brings the Legion of Super-Heroes to "Smallville".

In other "news unexpected"... turns out DC will be adding a few more characters to its already huge world of Super-heroes. Both the Milestone and Archie universe of Super-heroes (including Icon and Static) will become part of Superman and Batman's world. That.... kinda seems weird to me. Of course I'll stick around to see how that plays out... but I just hate to see some of the already in limbo DCU characters take an even more backseat to these new comers.

I don't run the company... what do I know.

AAAHHHHHhhh God It's Killing Me!

Saturday, July 26

Well folks, it's that time of year again. The time when fanboys and fangirls gather in the masses to celebrate comic books and all things pop culture. Too bad it's all the on the west coast in San Diego. Yes, yes... I refer to the Comic Con International that is right now at it's halfway point.

And this year looks like it was one to be in attendance. Damn it.

And so what do I find myself doing after checking in on the latest Comic Con news online? I'm watching day two of the three hour coverage from G4 network, reading my latest stash of comics no less (and bag and board them later).

I'll go again someday. This time I'll bring my wife with me. I know she'd have fun... or at least can stand in lines for me. :-D

His Royal Highness

Tuesday, July 15

The end of an era, or something like that. One of my fellow bloggers, he of King of All Mikes fame, has declared the end of his blog. What his online future holds for him is unknown. Perhaps he'll get one of them trendy MySpace or in yo FaceBooks or whatever the kids are doing nowadays. Maybe he'll just fade away into cyberspace. All I know is he'll Blog.... no more.

Until he starts blogging again.

Comicquest - 4th of July Edition

Thursday, July 10

So I went for comics yesterday. I went for two weeks worth... only got one. Apparently a holiday on a Friday CAN effect comics on the following Wednesday. Who'd a thunk it? Certainly not I.

It wasn't a total waste. The one week was a pretty big week. So now when I go down in another two weeks... I'll have three weeks worth waiting! Hurrah!

Batman #678
Infinity Inc #11
Supergirl #31
Trinity #5
Astounding Wolf-man #7
Sword #9
Walking Dead #50
Astonishing X-Men #25
Avengers Invaders #3
Squadron Supreme 2 #1

Saturday, July 5

I had posted a Fergie video of something similar to this months ago, but it wasn't until I visited Penny-Arcade tonight that I found a new one... and it's just as good.

Draw Me In Update

Tuesday, July 1

Yeah, so it's been a busy two weeks on the Draw Me In front. That and I updated over there, and nothing new on this blog. Ugh... two blogs. As if I didn't update frequently here, I have two to worry about. But I digress...

Both Amanda Conner and Jamal Igle have said they are going to draw me in. Amanda presumably in an issue of Terra and Jamal in Supergirl #34, both for DC Comics.

Both are totally awesome! Follow the links for the whole story. Sorry for keeping it short. :-P
