The Roof is on Fire.

Sunday, February 24

So Saturday night (Sunday morning really) the girlie and I settle down for the night kinda late, say 12:30ish. I didn't hear any noise really but the amazing amount of flashing red, yellow, and white lights right outside the bedroom window woke me up and got me to my feet in a hurry. One peak outside the window and I see flames rising from the house across the street. It was about 1:05am and there were four fire trucks on our street.

The flames didn't really last too much longer, so I didn't get a picture of that. And thankfully the wind was blowing the smoke away from our direction. I don't believe anybody got hurt, there didn't appear to be any sense of it anyway, we only saw one person outside who actually lived there... otherwise we didn't know who was home at the time. But like I said, nobody seemed to care so I assume he was it.

Looks like I'll have to pick up tomorrows paper to find out what happened. But what an interested way to kill an hour or two in the morning. Eventually there ended up being a total of five fire trucks, a rescue vehicle, two cop cars, and I think another ambulance showed up for no reason really making that total two. Yeah, lots of flashing lights, there was no way we were going to sleep with all of that outside the bedroom. God, if they had used their sirens that late, we could have had strokes.

Animatronic Animals Love Them Some Fergie

Saturday, February 23

I've never been to a Chuck E Cheese before, and I don't think that's a bad thing at all, but I know what going to one involves. Pizza for one... duh, video games, and a musical number of sorts by animatronic animals with instruments. And they didn't play "Freebird" or anything like that. But damn, for at least this one night in particular, I think it would have been sweet to have been working at the place. Cause this would have been crazy funny to see. Enjoy.

While I'm in a YouTube posting mood, here's something I happened upon at a recent gathering. I laughed so hard I thought I'd pop a stitch.

A Word From Charlie

Friday, February 22

Got a phone call earlier today, turns out our buddy Charlie is "unfit for duty". What does that mean? It means he's coming home!

At the time of the call, this had just been news to him as well. So details are minimum. At best guess he determined an April or May homecoming.

Yeeaaahhh!!!!

Vagina Punch!

So, because I'm here at home with nothing to do but watch television, I was watching G4 (gaming network) and during Attack of the Show they kept airing this thing over and over like it was the secret word on Pee Wee's Playhouse

Mind you, they didn't air the entire clip, just the first few seconds. The YouTube clip I'm posting is probably a minute longer than it needs to be, but when watching it, you get the hint.

Toy Fair 08 - This Is Gonna Hurt The 'ol Pocketbook

Thursday, February 21

Over the weekend there was held an annual Toy Fair convention, where toy companies show off stuff for the coming year. There were a few goodies I might be interested in. Such as;

This Stuntman Mike from Grindhouse's "Death Proof"... finally.

This neato Beetlejuice figure... he's the ghost with the most after all.

Then there's these things. I've never really collected figures from the comics I read, because usually they just don't look good enough for me personally. However, if they DO make a wide range of characters such as these pictured above, I may be in trouble then. But I will be keeping an eye on the future on these figures. By the way yes, those are the Electric Red/Blue Supermen in the background. Why they went there is beyond me.

Down With the Sickness

Wednesday, February 20

Sunday morning I was at work, and around 10:30 or so I took my break. During that time I was starting to feel really sick, having severe abdominal pains. It only took five minutes after my break to ask to leave work.

I arrive home and down several rolaid/peptmo bismo type medicines. I writhe around in pain, never once feeling a second better. I even made myself throw up, thinking it just MIGHT help me feel better. Nope, nothing. After about two hours of this I decide something is wrong and only a trip to the emergency room can help me now. Because it hurt.
I go to Cushing... wait for about five minutes there before I realize it's going to get me nowhere. I pack it up and go to St. John's Hospital. I'm still in lots of pain, and in the waiting room for the ER where I grab a trash can and throw up the only snack I had for the day... and will unfortunately. That's when they get me in and hook me up with some drugs. Whatever they shot into me, cut my pain in half in seconds. And whenever I needed it they gave me more.

They did several tests over the next day and a half. In the ER they noticed I had a slow heart beat, which they later determined wasn't all that serious. Apparently I'm athletic type, who would have thought that? Anyway, the big problem that was causing my pain was... my gallbladder.

I needed surgery and so my gallbladder removed Tuesday. I was moved from the ER to a room in ICU for a night, which is where I'm at in the photos I posted. I hardly ate during my stay. Mostly because they were making me fast for tests. Long story short, I got home today with four new holes on my belly.

So I had an interesting Sunday.

Cell Phone Zen

February 7th at Hobby Lobby.

Rachael and I had gone for comics and we ended up at Hobby Lobby. My feet hurt and I didn't feel like walking around... so I ended up in a cart. It was comfy. Yes, I'm holding a purse, deal with it.

More YouTube Goodness: My Name Is Bruce

Thursday, February 7

For sometime I've heard about a movie Bruce Campbell was doing, basicly poking fun of himself playing himself called My Name is Bruce. I don't know when it's coming out, but I just found some kind of a trailer for it. Here it is.

Draw Me In: The Boys #15

Wednesday, February 6

So this one totally snuck up on me. It's my own fault really, for not know this, but today my fifth "Draw Me In" appearance hits stores today! I'm in a few panels on a few pages, in a comic book store no less... complete with a speaking role. Thanks goes to Darrick Robertson for helping a fanboy out.

Sarah Silverman's confession to Jimmy Kimmel

Something that's been online for about a week now I guess, if you know what this is, then you know how funny it is. If not, watch it and be amused!
